About Nadi Astrology
Nadi Astrology (nadi jyotisa) is a form of Dharma astrology practiced in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and adjacent regions in India. It is based on the belief that the past, present and the future lives of all humans were foreseen by Dharma sages in ancient time. The Naadi palm leaves are located based on the thumb impressions (right for men, left for women).
In Nadi Shastra, the thumb impression of a person is taken to identify the particular leaf which gives the persons predictions. Each thumb impression on has about 108 aspects to it like Shanka Rekha, Chandra Rekha, Chakra Rekha etc… These aspects of thumb impression are used to locate the nearest bundle of Nadi leaves and then the person had a session with the Nadi reader to tally with the personal and family details of the person. During this session the particular leaf which contains the personal and family details will be identified and the reader reads out and records the exact predictions of the person.
The predictions in the Nadi leaves are given in Kandams or chapters. One could get a general prediction or specific prediction or specific prediction based on the need.
Kandams
1st Kandam : It will explain the general features of your life in detail.
2nd Kandam : It will explain about your financial position, family status, eye slight, effects of your word powder, education etc.
3rd Kandam : Will show the number of brothers and the advantages and disadvantages from their side
4th Kandam : Will reveal the condition of mother, household environments, the comforts in life, vehicles owned by you, income from lands well if any etc.
5th Kandam : Will explain the number of children born to you, the number that would survive, the advantages from children and the reason for not having children etc.
6th Kandam : Will show the picture of enemies, diseases, loans that will annoy you along with the means to overcome these above troubles.
7th Kandam : Will show the period of marriage, the details of married life, the reason for late marriage, the dasas that will bring advantages and disadvantages through the partner of life etc.
8th Kandam : Will explain about longevity, the kandas and accidents you have to involve in etc.
9th Kandam : Will explain about the condition of father, the wealth you may acquire the luck and divine grace you may achieve, the intellectual maturity you may attain, the pilgrimage you may involve etc.
10th Kandam : It will explain the profession or industry you may from, the suitable profession that will bring more profit etc.
11th Kandam : It will explain how you may acquire profits, that advantage through second wife, Heavy vehicles etc.
12th Kandam : It will explain the means of expenditure you will experience, the details of next birth, chances to go abroad, political status, the chances of getting heavenly life etc.
Special Kandams
Santhi Kandam : It will explain about the life in past birth, the effect of the sindone in the past birth, the troubles due to those sins in the present day of life and the means to overcome those troubles etc.
Teetcha Kandam : It will explain about the manthras that will bring peace and prosperity to your personal and family aspects and also will subdue the enemies etc.
Aushathakandam : It will explain the medicine that will cure the chronic disease you have inherited.
Dasa Puddhi Kandam : Will explain in details about the important aspect as per the running dasas in your complete life.
